We purchased a condominium in Alameda California, and Philip was our broker; he was able to do the the almost-impossible! Educate us about the California market (we are from the Midwest), steer us gently to properties that seemed to fit our ever-changing profile of needs, and finally guide us through the bid/purchase cycle. He did this with finesse, a good sense of humor (critical in this business) and expertise. He made himself available almost 24/7, but did not push. Looking in Oakland and working with a relatively small budget by Bay Area standards, he was incredibly patient and insightful as we crafted a strategy to compete in this insanely competitive market. We first met Philip about six months before we were going to put our Alameda house on the market, and he was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process of getting the house ready. He recommended several contractors who were very responsive, reasonably priced and did a great job (floors, carpet, yard, inspectors, painters). Whenever I had a question or concern, I could call or text Philip and he would always make himself available ASAP. He is friendly, easy-going and always professional, and he has some great marketing techniques, including a narrated video walkthrough of the property and surrounding neighborhood and his own well-done photos (he is a professional photographer). He also has a great sense of style that was a plus when we were picking paint colors and making other design decisions. And when it came time to consider the various offers we received, I trusted his judgment. All in all, as stressful as selling a house can be, he made it a much easier experience (this was my fourth time selling a home) and I was very happy with the outcome.
